King Abdullah Award for Excellence in Government Performance and Transparency
Income and Sales Tax Department has participated in the King Abdullah Award since its launched
A Royal Decree was issued to create The King Abdullah Award for Excellence in Government Performance and Transparency on 4/9/2002 with the aim of improving and developing the performance of ministries and government institutions in the service of Jordanian citizens, residents, tourists and investors by spreading awareness of the concepts of management of excellent performance and transparency and highlighting the distinguished efforts of public sector institutions and showing their achievements in developing their systems and services so that it is the highest award for excellence in the public sector at the national level. The award aims to root a culture of excellence in the public sector.
The award endeavors to ensure that the public sector performs the duties and tasks entitled to it to the fullest and with high levels of quality, efficiency and professionalism. It also aims to provide a guiding reference and standard bases for measuring the extent of progress and development in the performance of ministries and government institutions, and to enhance the exchange of experiences between ministries and public sector institutions and promote sharing of success stories among them on successful administrative practices.
