Abu Ali: Linking computerized systems to the national invoicing system does not require any fundamental adjustments

Dr. Hussam Abu Ali, Director General of the Income and Sales Tax Department, clarified that the national e-invoicing system is available for use by companies and establishments that have computerized systems in an easy and simple way, and the system is able to accommodate all computerized systems through electronic linking of the computerized systems with the national electronic invoicing system, thus joining All taxpayers from various sectors. As for computerized systems, the procedure is limited to linking the national einvoicing program to the computerized website of the Income and Sales Tax Department with regard to issuing invoices only through the system and with linking procedures for issuing invoices without the need for any fundamental adjustments to the computerized systems used by companies and establishments in issuing invoices. He said that the national e-invoicing system is available for all companies, individuals and establishments obligated to the invoicing regulation that do not have computerized systems or have computerized systems, and does not impose any additional costs or financial burdens on taxpayers. The system also has high security that protects data and maintains its confidentiality. He pointed out that the department has allocated working groups to assist taxpayers, guide them and educate them on how to link to the invoicing system and use one of the platforms that suits each taxpayer. Dr. Hussam Abu Ali explained that there are entities that are not obligated to issue an invoice and are excluded from organizing and issuing the invoice according to the provisions of the Regulation for organizing and controlling invoicing affairs and the instructions issued pursuant to it, which are these licensed establishments and businesses: grocery stores (mini-market, supermarket, or shop), bookshops that sell books and stationery, Stores selling vegetables and fruits, stores selling household appliances, bakeries, popular restaurants, home businesses, stores selling dairy, and stores selling sewing tools, whose annual sales are less than (75) thousand dinars, as well as licensed crafts in any of the governorates of the Kingdom according to the effective legislations whose annual revenues are less than (30) thousand dinars, as well as bakeries that sell bread only and whose annual sales are less than 150,000 dinars. Taking into account the considerations and reasons previously submitted to the department by other activities whose sales or purchases are less than 75 thousand dinars or commercial markets.
