Abu Ali calls on public institutions to commit to dealing with those registered in the national invoicing system

Dr. Hussam Abu Ali, Director General of the Income and Sales Tax Department, called on all ministries, institutions and public bodies to adhere to the circular issued by the Minister of Finance regarding the request from the public institutions to adhere, when purchasing goods or obtaining services in exchange for compensation, to do so through companies, establishments, professionals, craftsmen and individuals that are legally obligated to register with the national e-invoicing system

Abu Ali explained that the Income and Sales Tax Department made it possible for financial managers, those concerned with purchasing, issuing bids and tenders, and various regulatory authorities in all ministries, institutions and public bodies to verify the commitment of the company, institution, supplier, professional or service provider to register with the national electronic invoicing system when purchasing goods or obtaining services in exchange for the compensation, by entering the electronic link on the Income and Sales Tax Department website https://es.istd.gov.jo/query/FawtraQuery.aspx

The Minister of Finance’s circular was based on the provisions of the regulation for Organizing and Controlling of Invoicing Affairs No. (34) of 2019 and its amendments, which obligated companies, establishments, professionals, service providers, and craftsmen who apply the e-invoicing system to issue the invoice electronically through the national e-invoicing system.
