Dr. Hussam Abu Ali, Director General of the Income and Sales Tax Department, inaugurated today the specialized training program for preparing the Jordanian tax expert, which is held at the tax institute of the department.
The program, which is held in cooperation with the University of Jordan, lasts for a period of two months, with the participation of 20 tax auditors working in the various directorates of the department.
Dr. Hussam Abu Ali said that this program is the first of its kind at the national and regional levels and aims to keep up with the department to keep pace with the latest practical, technical and scientific experiences in the field of tax auditing, legislation, and tax and accounting procedures.
He added that this program comes within the framework of the department's plan to prepare and qualify its auditors, raise their capabilities and technical, scientific and practical skills in the field of auditing and inspection, raise the level of their tax performance, and inform them of the latest findings of tax work experiences in the world.
He pointed out that the trainees will undergo scientific and practical tests to assess their performance, and after passing them they will be granted tax representative licenses in addition to a tax expert certificate enabling them to practice the profession of tax consultancy.
This program will work to raise the efficiency and effectiveness of tax auditors working in the department by attracting professional and scientific expertise to participate in the training of participants. It will also expand the knowledge and perceptions of tax auditors in the field of legal conditioning and in the field of relevant legislation, as well as preparing tax auditors for technical career paths. To be counted in the department.
This specialized training program continues for a period of two months at a rate of (240) training hours during which auditors will be able to be experts in the field of accounting, auditing of income and sales tax accounts, financial analysts and professionals for the provisions of the tax legislation in force, as well as possessing the knowledge and technical skill necessary to deal with international auditing standards and prepare Financial reports and professionally dealing with cases of tax evasion, in addition to their possession of tax audit risk management skills and extensive knowledge of international tax systems and relevant legislation and computerized tax auditing.
They mention the Jordanian Tax Institute, the first of its kind at the regional level, and the establishment of the institute came during the year 2020 with the aim of preparing and qualifying tax auditors technically, professionally, legally and administratively to bring them to the required level and make the department a model to be emulated and that the institute be distinguished professionally and pioneering at the local and regional level.
Abu Ali stated that the Jordanian Tax Institute, in cooperation and coordination with the University of Jordan, will grant in the near future the first professional diploma specialized in tax at the level of the Kingdom to grant an accredited certificate within the recognized standards, in confirmation of the institute’s role in qualifying and preparing tax cadres professionally and technically to carry out tax audit work.
