ISTD concluded the activities of the first specialized training program for the preparation of the Jordanian tax expert, which is held for the first time at the Tax Institute of the Department and in which a number of trainees from the private sector participated.

The Director General of the ISTD, Dr. Husam Abu Ali, said in a press statement on Tuesday, that he relies a lot on the Jordanian tax expert program in developing the relationship with the various economic sectors, as well as in preparing and qualifying the tax expert who is able to provide the best tax services to tax taxpayers and is also able to protect their interests in line with the law, as well as helping taxpayers to comply with legal provisions and avoid them falling into any violations or tax fines, and at the same time contribute to enhancing compliance and voluntary and tax justice.

It is noteworthy that the program aims to qualify participants who  are subjected to scientific and practical tests to evaluate performance, after passing them, they are granted a tax expert certificate that enables them to practice the profession of tax consultancy and review the department on behalf of companies, establishments and taxpayers.

A number of senior employees of the department with specialized professional and scientific expertise participated in giving the lectures, in addition to trainers and experts in the field of accounting and auditing and academics from the University of Jordan.

Abu Ali said that the convening of this program comes within the department's responsibility to provide qualified tax commissioners and representatives in the private sector to enable companies and establishments to abide by the provisions of the law and pay the due tax without any violations or fines.

At the end of the program, Abu Ali handed the participants certificates of participation in the training program, which included 120 training hours.
