The head of the Bar Association: The association supports the rule of law and calls for the formation of a joint team with the tax

The Director General of the ISTD, Dr. Husam Abu Ali, confirmed within the awareness workshop on the e-invoicing mechanism held by the Bar Association that the national e-invoicing system did not come with any new arrangements, so joining and using it does not entail any burdens of additional material costs on those who are obliged to join it.

He explained that the system will work to improve and strengthen the relationship between taxpayers and auditors, including members of professional syndicates, and provide tax services to them with ease and ease, and facilitate procedures for auditing taxpayers' files, speeding up the completion of their transactions, and accelerating their obtainment of tax clearance.

Stressing that the national e-invoicing system will enhance trust between the department and the taxpayers and achieve tax justice. and consolidation of the rule of law.

Abu Ali explained that an e-invoicing platform has been provided on the department's website, allowing taxpayers to issue invoices through it if they do not have an invoice system, or to link directly with the tax if they have an invoice system.

And he indicated that the system will achieve many advantages for everyone who uses it, including eliminating the risks of paper invoicing and losing or damaging invoices, as the e-invoicing is being issued and saved in an organized electronic format through a safe and protected electronic system and maintaining confidentiality.

He pointed out that the department has allocated work teams to assist taxpayers, guide them and educate them on how to connect to the e-invoicing system, and use one of the platforms that suits each taxpayer.

He said that the privacy of each of the sectors will be taken into account when linking to the system through the teams that have been formed to assist, guide and direct in linking the accounting systems used or joining the use of the e-invoicing system.

He indicated that the system is available for use by all those obligated and will continue to be used experimentally until the teams report that the sectors have adapted to the requirements of the system.

For his part, the head of the Bar Association, Mr. Yahya Salem Abu Abboud, said: We are in the Bar Association, this national institution with the rule of law.

He called for the formation of a joint team with the ISTD to hold such meetings with members of the Bar Association to explain the system and the procedures for joining it, and to answer the inquiries and questions of the participants.

At the end of the meeting, an extensive dialogue took place with members of the Bar Association, during which all inquiries and questions that were raised were answered.

The dialogue was moderated by a member of the Bar Council, Dr. Iyad Al-Batayneh, in the presence of the assistants of the director general and directors of directorates in the ISTD.
