The Income and Sales Tax Department announced that, during the current month of September, it paid refunds worth about 5 million dinars, from which 5 thousand taxpayers benefited.

ISTD said that the total Refunds that the department has disbursed to taxpayers since the beginning of the current year 2022 to date amounted to about 45,000 taxpayers, with a total value of 27 million dinars.

The department indicated that these Refunds that have been disbursed since the beginning of the year until now pertain to tax returns that have been audited for companies, individuals and employees.

The department sent these Refunds to their eligible taxpayers electronically on the IBAN numbers of their bank accounts, according to the approved role and bases for disbursement, after they had been audited, acquired a peremptory character, and completed the legal conditions for disbursement.

The department called on all employees, users and taxpayers to "work to amend the data and information related to their bank accounts and write down the IBAN number correctly, for the purpose of transferring any refunds to their accounts directly without the need to review the department."
