ISTD calls on social media influencers to correct their tax statuses

ISTD called on social media influencers and those who obtain taxable financial revenues from their activity on these sites to submit their tax returns on their income from various activities, pay taxes and correct their legal status before the end of the current month to avoid administrative assessment.

ISTD declared that all social media influencers and celebrities or any person who obtains or earns income from them are taxable to the income tax law, as Article 3 of the law stipulates that any income earned in the Kingdom or earned by any person from it is taxable to the tax regardless of the place of fulfillment.

The department urged all influencers to correct their tax statuses and take the initiative to submit their tax returns, indicating that if they need help, they can review a team designated by the department to help them.

ISTD explained that activities, celebrities, influencers, "YouTubers", publishers of live broadcast content, game videos, activists of promotion and advertising services, or any peoples who earn income from their activity and their appearance on various communication sites must voluntarily review the department and announce their realistic and correct income from this activity in order to avoid the fines and legal procedures that are taking place To be taken against those who voluntary defaulters to register, in order to avoid taking legal measures against those who did not.
