Dr. Husam Abu Ali, Director General of the ISTD, inaugurated the specialized training program for the preparation of the Jordanian tax expert, which is held for the first time for participants from the private sector in the tax institute of the department.

The program aims to prepare and qualify the tax expert to be able to provide the best services to the taxpayers who act on their behalf, protect their interests according to the law, help them comply with the legal provisions, and avoid them falling into any tax violations or fines, while at the same time preserving the interest of the department and working to enhance voluntary commitment and achieve tax justice.

Abu Ali said that this program is the first of its kind at the national and regional level and aims to prepare a tax expert for the private sector according to the latest scientific, practical and technical experiences in the field of tax provisions and legislation in force and tax accounting.

He added that this program comes within the framework of the department’s plan to prepare and qualify private sector experts, raise their capabilities and technical, scientific and practical skills in the field of tax legislation and provisions, and raise the level of their tax performance so that the expert, after passing the program, will be able to carry out his tasks professionally and technically to the fullest in accordance with tax legislation, as well as that the expert be able to educate and awareness those who represent them tax and assist them in promoting voluntary commitment.

He pointed out that it aims to qualify participants who will undergo scientific and practical tests to evaluate their performance. After passing them, they will be granted a tax expert certificate that enables them to practice the profession of tax consultancy and review the department on behalf of companies, establishments and taxpayers.

The senior staff of the department who have specialized professional and scientific experiences, in addition to academics from the University of Jordan, participate in giving the lectures.

They mention that the Jordanian Tax Institute in the ISTD is the first of its kind at the regional level. The establishment of the institute came with the aim of qualifying the tax auditors technically, professionally, legally and administratively to reach them to the required level, as well as preparing tax experts for the private sector and making the department a role model and for the institute to be professionally distinguished and pioneering at the local and regional levels.

Abu Ali indicated that the Jordanian Tax Institute, in cooperation and coordination with Jordanian universities, will grant in the future the first professional diploma specialized in tax at the level of the Kingdom to grant an accredited certificate within the generally accepted standards, as an affirmation of the role of the Institute in qualifying and preparing tax cadres professionally and technically to carry out specialized tax audit work in accordance with the legislation and tax procedures in force.
