The Income and Sales Tax Department called on the taxpayers, traders, industrialists and service providers, including professions and craftsmen, to submit the income tax return for the year 2021 and paying the announced amounts electronically before the end of next April, which is the last legal date for submitting the return for the year 2021 and paying the announced amounts without fines.
The department also called on all taxpayers not to delay submitting the return and paying the tax until the end of the legal period in order to avoid being exposed to legal fines.
With regard to employees who receive monthly salaries and wages, The department indicated that they are obliged to submit an income tax return if the annual total income exceeds 9 thousand dinars for the non-supporter, and 18 thousand dinars for the breadwinner
The department indicated that deducting income tax from salaries and wages from the employer does not exempt taxpayers whose annual income exceeds the specified limit for exemptions from submitting income tax returns.

It also called on retirees whose monthly pension exceeds 2,500 dinars  to submit an income tax return for the year 2021.
