Income and Sales Tax Department invites the taxpayers to obtain its services electronically in order to preserve their health and safety.

Dr. Hussam Abu Ali, Director General of the Income and Sales Tax Department, called on all taxpayers to deal with the department's services electronically through the department's website by obtaining all services electronically in order to preserve their health and safety and to save them time, effort and the hassle of moving between offices.

Abu Ali indicated that the Income and Sales Tax Department worked hard during the year 2020 to provide most of the services that any taxpayer needs electronically, including requests and daily reviews to enable everyone to complete their transactions remotely without the need to review the department and meet employees ,to facilitate and reduce them in time and effort and to preserve on social distancing to ensure their safety and health in light of the preventive and precautionary measures taken by the government to limit the spread of (Coronavirus).

The number of times during which the taxpayers obtained services electronically without consulting the department during the year 2020 reached 952 thousand cases, and this is a clear evidence of the department's progress and development in providing services electronically.

It is noteworthy that the department has enabled taxpayers who hold tax numbers who are not subscribing to e-government services to obtain a password that enables them to deal and obtain the department's services electronically without reviewing the department’s offices, through the department’s website. The department also allowed any taxpayer in the event of losing or forgetting his password to retrieve it and obtain it electronically without the need to review the department personally.

The department indicated that the electronic services provided by the department to the taxpayers currently reduce many procedures, time, effort and money for the subscribers, especially in these health conditions that the world is witnessing and witnessed by the Kingdom, as the department provides many new electronic services to enable the taxpayers and reviewers to complete their transactions remotely without the need to review it. The services provided by the department electronically include the following:

Electronic registration and obtaining a tax number for income tax for the first time as well as submitting a request for registration in the sales tax in addition to obtain the password for the first time or re-issuing the password in the event of losing or forgetting it, amending the personal and financial data and obtaining a certificate with the tax number.

Submitting income tax returns in all its forms, submitting special and general sales tax returns and uploading the attachments after sending the return within the electronic services, in addition to requesting amendment of the income tax return, amending the sales tax return, obtaining income and sales  tax status and deductions for employees, electronic payment of income and sales tax in all its forms and submitting the installment request in case Inability to pay cash and submit a tax refund request in the event that tax refund amounts are due to the taxpayer and enable the taxpayers to obtain  a detailed tax status for income tax with the possibility of obtaining a tax status for the balance of the national contribution and obtaining a clearance , as well as verifying the electronic clearance issued by the department.

This is in addition to submitting objections on audit decisions for income and sales taxes, as well as submitting a settlement and reconciliation form for pending tax issues between the department and taxpayers, in addition to submitting a request to join the Golden List membership and obtaining a list of the names of the participants in the Golden List, as well as submitting a request for industrial activities incentives to encourage national industry ,In addition to submitting a request to raise the import ceiling, submitting a request to activate the tax number, as well as submitting a request to release the reservation.

And the possibility of attaching a list of the names and addresses of the certified accountant, uploading, entering and inspecting information slips, in addition to employee deductions (monthly and annual) as well as other deductions, as well as displaying income and sales installments, if any.
