Dr. Husam Abu Ali The Director-General of the ISTD opened the training program "preparing the tax auditor" at the Jordanian tax institute with participate of 90 new employees in accounting major from the various directorate of the department and its tax centers. The program will continue until at the end of next December with the aim providing the trainees with knowledge's, skills and abilities legal and tax accounting to qualify them to carry out tax audit work.
The Director-General said that the this course is the basis for preparing tax auditor , preparing them and qualifying them with high efficiency to carry out tax audit work in accordance with the best international standards for tax accounting, urged the trainees to focus and pay attention to the training materials and benefit from training to the maximum extent possible, since this course is the entrance to preparing the tax auditor.
He called on the trainees to be serious and diligent, to review and follow up all the training materials and to refer to the train collogues in any inquires about the course subjects and benefit from them, considering this course is the basis of their future job duties, and he indicated that they will be evaluated and subjected to a final evaluation exam at the end of this training program.
He commended the efforts of the accredited trainers and urged them to provide all their theoretical and practical experiences to the new colleagues, and asked the trainees to follow up diligently to acquire the information, skills and techniques necessary to carry out tax audits.
Abu Ali urged the trainers to follow up on the development and improvement processes of the training programs in terms of maximizing the achievements and addressing the gaps from the practical and scientific point of view, and called for the necessity of paying attention to the training programs to be within specialized tax training bags.
This course includes two aspects, the first is specialized in tax legislation for both income and sales taxes, while the other side includes tax accounting procedures and methods in accordance with international accounting standards for all commercial, industrial and service sectors.
The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Walid Al-Bawaneh, Assistant Director-General for Planning, Development and Taxpayer Services, and a number of directors of directorates in the department.
