The Director General inaugurates a training program for preparing the tax auditor

The Director General, Dr. Hussam Abu Ali, inaugurated the training program for preparing the tax auditor in accounting, law, and auditing for income and sales taxes at the Jordanian Tax Institute, with the participation of 31 male and female employees from the various directorates of the department. The program, which was limited to the Bachelor of Accounting holders, continues until the end of next July.

The Director General indicated that this program is the basis for preparing tax auditors to carry out tax audit work in accordance with the applicable tax legislation and procedures and in line with international accounting standards. He stressed that passing the exam that will be held for trainees right after finishing the training program is the decisive factor in accrediting them to carry out tax audit work later.

He stressed the need for the trainees to closely follow up on all topics related to this program, which will be the basis of their future work. He urged all trainees to benefit from the theoretical and practical experiences of the trainers in accounting and law for the income and general sales tax, and wished them further progress and success.

The Director General directed the Tax Institute's administration to focus on specialized professional courses for the purpose of raising the efficiency of tax auditing among tax auditors to serve the department's current and future objectives.

 It is noteworthy that this course includes several basic pillars aimed at  preparing new employees to become fully aware and knowledgeable about legislation and tax procedures, tax accounting procedures and methods, and tax audit methods on various economic, commercial, service and industrial sectors, in addition to providing them with the skills necessary to carry out tax audit work for both income and sales taxes. Effectively and efficiently.

While the administration of the tax institute took all measures of public health and safety and divided the trainees into two sessions, one morning and the other evening, in each session (16) trainees . The administration of the Institute stressed the need to fully adhere to the use of gloves and masks, and the distance between the trainees in order to preserve the health and safety of the department’s employees in light of the spread of the Corona epidemic.
