The Settlement and Reconciliation Committee continues to receive taxpayers requests until the end of this month

ISTD called on taxpayers who have income or sales tax balances and fines on them and wish to settle them to submit their applications to the Settlement and Reconciliation Committee before the end of the current month.

ISTD said that the settlement form can be filled out and submitted through directorates and service centers across the Kingdom, or electronically through the department's website.

The department indicated that these settlements enable the taxpayer to look any request he has without paying the lawyer’s fees or fees, which speeds up the process of ending the tax liability of the taxpayers, noting that it is not necessary to pay large sums in return for submitting it. A settlement request, even if it was filed by any authorized representative or agent on behalf of the taxpayer who requested the settlement.

The Council of Ministers had agreed to extend the work of the Tax Settlement and Reconciliation Committee formed under the provisions of Article (3) of the basis for settling outstanding issues between taxpayers and ISTD for the year 2019 until the end of the current year (2022).

It is noteworthy that the Settlement and Reconciliation Committee was formed according to the provisions of  Item No. (3/a and b) of the principles for settling outstanding claims between taxpayers and the ISTD for the year 2019. The committee, which includes representatives of 3 sectors and is chaired by a judge, a tax employee and an expert from the sector, The Committee shall study the applications submitted in accordance with the principles approved by the Council of Ministers and rasing the necessary recommendations for this purpose and according to the rules.
