Director General of the ISTD, Dr. Husam Abu Ali, confirmed that the national e-invoicing system was taken into account to be easy and simple, and not to impose any financial or additional costs or burdens on those obligated to join it.
It was also taken into regard that it should be able to accommodate all accounting systems and different sectors and adapt to deal with them without arranging any changes to the accounting systems used by the obligated parties.
And he announced that the department will take appropriate measures related to any sector to adapt to the system and facilitate the procedures for joining the national e invoicing system, linking it and using it, and providing support and The sectors will be given enough time to address any challenges they face in order to harmonize with the Jordanian electronic invoicing system.
Abu Ali said that the system will contribute to reducing human intervention, facilitating procedures for checking taxpayers' files, speeding up the completion of their transactions, and accelerating their obtainment of tax clearance.
He explained that the system does not exclude any of the binding sectors and will work to unify and apply the principles and elements of the invoices that are issued by all taxpayers and dispense with the regulation of traditional invoices.
He pointed out that a platform has been provided on the department's website to allow taxpayers to issue invoices through it if they do not have an invoice system, or to link directly with the tax if they have an invoice system.
He pointed out that Income Tax Law No. 38 of 2018, through the provisions of Paragraph (f) of Article (23), obligates the person to issue an original invoice in exchange for providing any service or selling any commodity in the Kingdom. excluded from them in accordance with a regulation issued for this purpose.
Abu Ali said that the department has allocated specialized sectoral work teams to assist the categories covered by the e-invoicing system, with the aim of meeting with them, guiding them, educating them, assisting them technically and technically, and facilitating them in the procedures of linking to the system and using one of the platforms that suits each of them.
