ISTD announced that the number of times during which tax services were obtained electronically by taxpayers without visiting the department’s offices in person, from the beginning of the current year 2023 until the end of last April, amounted to one million, one thousand and five hundred times, compared to 854,000 times obtained during the same period from last year 2022.

The department indicated that its services that are provided electronically amount to 54 services that are provided around the clock, noting that there has been no interruption in the provision of services.

ISTD explained that there is a growth in dealing with the department's services electronically and a clear decline in the number of reviewers to the department's offices in person, which is an indication of the department's success in providing electronic services provided by the department to taxpayers, and that these services save them them from visiting the department in person.

The department said that it will continue to work to enhance the culture of dealing with the department and to obtain its services electronically for the benefit of taxpayers and reviewers.

ISTD is working to motivate the taxpayers to expand their access to the services of the department electronically, including daily reviews and requests to facilitate the taxpayers and employees.

ISTD called on taxpayers and reviewers to stop obtaining the department's services in person and obtain them electronically without the need to access or review the department's offices, especially since the department provided all services through its website.

It is reported that the ISTD “enabled taxpayers to obtain a password through the department’s website without the need to review it to enable them to deal and obtain the services of the department electronically.

The department also enabled citizens who do not have tax numbers to obtain them through the department's website without the need to visit the department's offices.

The department expressed its thanks to its main partners and all taxpayers of income and sales tax for their response and cooperation with the department for the success of the application of obtaining the services of the department electronically.
