The Income and Sales Tax Department announced the opening of the doors of offices of all directorates and centers affiliated to it throughout the Kingdom next Saturday, for the purposes of empowering taxpayers and helping them to submit income tax returns for the fiscal year 2020 and paying the amounts declared in them electronically before the end of the legal period.

The department called on the taxpayers to submit the income tax returns electronically before the end of the legal period in order to avoid being exposed to the fines stipulated by the law, which include an added tax for failure to submit the tax return and a fine of 4 per thousand of the value of the tax amounts due for each week of delay or any part thereof.

The department has allowed companies and institutions that have not yet been able to properly prepare their financial statements to submit a draft of these data and submit them with the income tax return before the end of the legal period at the end of the current April, provided that the original data are delivered before the end of June.

The department called on the obligated taxpayers to submit income tax returns for the fiscal year 2020 and to pay the amounts declared electronically before the end of the legal period at the end of this April.
