Director General of the ISTD, Dr. Husam Abu Ali, announced that the total income and sales tax collections until the end of May of this year amounted to 2,770 billion dinars, while the collections during the same period last year 2022 amounted to a total of 2,492 billion dinars, an increase of 278 million dinars.

Dr. Abu Ali explained that the growth in revenues included both income and sales taxes, as income tax collections during the end of May of this year amounted to 1,101 billion dinars, while during the same period last year 2022 they amounted to 859 million dinars.

The achieved sales tax collections since the beginning of this year until the end of May amounted to about 1,848 billion dinars, of which 1,668 billion dinars were collected, while it was during the same period last year 1,632 billion dinars.
