Income and Sales Tax Department achieves ISO certification for information security management

Director General of the Income and Sales Tax Department, received the ISO 27001 certificate for information security management, which the department acquired after fulfilling the standards and requirements of acquiring the certificate and successfully passing the ISO 27001 standard test. Abu Ali said that this important achievement assures the efficiency of the cyber risk management system and the department dedication and keenness to secure data management by maintaining strict standards for information security and safety, as well as its full commitment to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of vital information and the department’s fulfillment of all requirements and controls of the ISO 27001 standard. He added that the department’s achievement of this certificate highlights the department’s keenness to protect financial data and enhance security measures, highlights its position as a leading and distinguished government institution in supporting secure data management practices in Jordan, and indicates its full commitment to complying with international standards. During the meeting, Abu Ali praised the support of the United States Agency for International Development and the Public Financial Management and Administration Project for their Partnership in the reforms implemented by the Income and Sales Tax Department in all technical, administrative and financial fields
